ASFE affiliates with regional organizations (ROs) that are either independent entities or elements of other associations or societies, as discipline- or practice-focused divisions and/or as state or other chapters. The relationship established is less structured than one that would exist between a national group and a local chapter. Affiliation expands the benefits and resources available to an RO's members, and facilitates far better communication than otherwise would exist, especially with respect to issues affecting the professions. Affiliation helps ASFE better identify and become involved with emerging regional issues and trends (nascent national ones).
